current glow face routine

I want to preface this post by saying I used to be the girl who did not prioritize good routines—especially when it came to my face routine. Splash of water, rinse off mascara, and I was good to go! And it showed (that I didn’t care).

Fast forward years & better products, and I’m happy to tell you about my current glow face routine. The fun part is that I’ve been playing around with some new-to-me/my face brands the past few months, and I feel like they’ve treated me really well!

Just in case you’re new here and wondering what some of the Glow Life Beliefs are in how I choose what to purchase, here’s a little rundown:

  • They need to rate well in a database, like EWG Skin Deep

  • They need to contain natural scents (like essential oils) or be fragrance-free (my nose knows synthetics like crazy now)

  • Made from organic and/or natural materials (although I understand it’s not entirely possible with skincare products—stabilizers & man-made ingredients are needed to improve quality and stability of products, but being mindful to keep those to a minimum)

  • From brands that I trust—their mission, their enviro footprint, their vibe, and how they speak as a brand when they’re not actually talking

I actually feel like my self-care routine has been the last thing I’ve truly “glowed up,” but in the last few months I’ve really hit the ground running. Aren’t changes fun?! ☺️

Alright let’s do this!

Glow Face ROutines

  1. 1. OSEA Sea Minerals Mist—I love using this after I cleansed my face in the evening. I love everything about it… even just to freshen up!

  2. 2. W3LL PEOPLE Fresh Dew Gel-Cream Moisturizer—I like using this in the morn after washing my face, spritzing rose water or #1 on my face, then this to moisturize before make-up (I got it in this kit which was the perfect starter)

  3. 3. OGEE Jojoba Glow Face Oil—This oil is a DREAM to use in place of moisturizer in the evenings (I only use it in the evening because the face would be too oily for daytime use). I normally cleanse my face then use #1 + #4, then this (and sometimes follow with gua sha because this oil works perfect for it!)

  4. 4. OGEE Seed of Youth Serum—This serum is also mighty dreamy! You’re supposed to tap your face before using it to help stimulate collagen, so after cleansing and spritzing, I tap the face, apply this, then tap a little more! I follow it with #2, #3, or #6 (so many beautiful options!)

  5. 5. OGEE Sculpted Face Sticks—These are fantastics to sculpt out the face post cleansing/moisturizing routine to add that extra pop of glow + I love that they’re organic! My 2 faves right now are: copper & opal.

  6. 6. OSEA Blemish Balm—This moisturizer just feels SO nice when you put it on. I normally like to use it in the evenings after cleanser, toner, and serum.

Make sure to check out my discounts page to scout out some deals (like OGEE, where you save $15 off your order with my special code).

  • 7. OSEA ocean cleanser—This cleanser feels like butter on your face! It’s so soft & leaves you feeling so good. My hubby swears by it too! I like to use it each evening in the shower to wash off my make-up and get the face clean!

  • 8. W3LL PEOPLE Renewing Charcoal Exfoliating Powder—This one is neat! You pour the powder in your hand, add equal parts water (or a little less) to create a paste, then apply to the face. As you rub it in, it becomes super soft & feels so good on the face. I use this in the shower after I cleanse.

  • 9. W3LL PEOPLE Soothing Aloe Face Cleanser—This is another cleanser option that I use when I shower each night. Because I’ve been testing many out recently, I’ve had a few options to choose from, so I like to rotate between them! This one can get nice & bubbly, and it s a great cleanser.

  • 10. ZO Skin Health Exfoliating Polish—I use this scrub 1-3x/a week after cleansing. I will say that there are a few ingredients that are rated poorly on EWG, but they’re further down the ingredient list on the product (because it goes in order from largest amount of ingredients to lowest in the list in case you didn’t know) + because I’m not using it every day, I’m ok with it. Plus, I only use a small amount. It gives a nice scrub to the face & makes it feel super soft afterwards!

  • 11. OGEE Liquid Gold Cleansing Oil—I LOVE that this cleanser is not like your other cream cleansers. You start with a DRY face, add the oil, then lather to bubble up (a bit) as you rinse off. It’s a very neat take on cleansing, and I love that I have this in rotation with the other two above.

routine recap

OK, let me quickly recap the face routine now that we know all the products!

  • In the eve, rinse off make-up then cleanse (with #7, #9, or #11), skip this step in the morns

  • Exfoliate 1-3x a week (with #8 or #10)

  • Spritz with #1 (morn or night)

  • In eves, use #4, skip this step in the morns

  • Moisturize the face (with #2, #3, or #6), both morn and night

  • Use #5 (+ the rest of my make-up routine) to give the face that extra glow!

And that’s it!

There you have it! My glow face routine right now! I’ve had a lot of fun playing around with new products. I really do believe the skin needs to shake things up when it comes to products (and rightfully so seeing as it’s your largest organ!). If you’ve read my story on why I needed to detox, then you might be able to see why switching up skin products has been a fun little experiment to see what it can also do for my face!

I know I kind of cheated and showed you two products that go into my make-up routine (the face stick), but I feel like I need a whole other post dedicated to my glow make-up routine (and I’m sure they’ll make a cameo there too😉).
